Orientation Was a Blast!

Hey everyone. I have been sick for the past few days. I spent a few hours in the emergency room at Yale the night before I had to drive out to Ohio for orientation. It turns out I was severely dehydrated and may have further complications. Anyways, I’m feeling a lot better now especially after orientation. If you don’t already know I’m going to be attending Ohio University, not Ohio STATE University, next fall. I’m majoring in Photojournalism (duh). I met a bunch of great people both in and out of the PJ program. Unfortuantely I really wasn’t feeling well enough to take a bunch of shots while I was at orientation but during the trip out there I stopped for one specific shot. The shot is of what I believe is a power plant but I could be wrong. As I passed by in the car I was struck by how similar the shot looked to shots my grandfather used to take. So I did my best to capture that same essence in my own style. Hope you like it.

Cuz, It really looks like Pop-Pop’s work. I too was dehydrated and sick, did you eat Sesame Chicken at the Far East Cafe too? That was the worst Springer Spaniel I ever ate. Fantastic photo….if you listen closely you can hear Pop-Pop sending you morse code that he’s proud of you =)

I agree completely with Steve: If your grandfather has Internet where he is now, this is his new wallpaper. It’s terrific, and he WOULD be proud, as I am.
