Israel: Day Three

If you haven’t already, take a look at Israel: Day One and Israel: Day Two. Okay, so each post I make a comment about the weather. And each comment seems to be a little worse than the previous. Well, today the weather was so bad it kept us in the hotel until 1pm. But we did manage another fun excursion at the market in Tel-Aviv.
I swear we must have come during the Israeli version of El Nino because for a desert this place is dishing out rain non-stop. The wind is as powerful, if not more, than it was in previous days. Looking out our window we could see even more kite surfers, yet we didn’t go running down to the beach again.

In fear that we’d be re-living the flood of biblical times we decided only to venture out to the same market as yesterday. Apparently Tuesday and Friday that market has an additional arts market. Today the artists were not there, most likely because of the rain. WE managed to snap off a few shots before finding lunch.

Lunch today consisted of two shwarmas. A shwarma is meat (I think it was lamb), humus, greens, tomatoes, potatoes (french fries), all slammed inside a pita. My god they are delicious! After eating our shwarmas we returned to the hotel. I did some photo-editing and my dad worked a little.

Now I am writing to you just after returning from dinner with Dafna. Dafna is great-aunt’s daughter. We went to a small restaurant in Tel-Aviv called Suzanna. It was delicious. I had the lamb kebab with rice and raisins. The meat was so tender I could cut it with the side of my fork! Mmm…

Well, I’m exhausted. Tomorrow we leave for Jerusalem. Until tomorrow,
