I’d rather not have pants!

I’ll get to the candid school shots but first a story:
My grandfather, Clarence Snyder, was once asked “Did you bring your camera?” His response, “I’d rather not have any pants!” I think this quote started to resonate with me. I mean, his brutal honesty was that he’d rather have his camera than pants, so that means he brought his camera to every place he wore pants. I started to think, maybe I should give this a try? So I did. And what do you know, I’ve been getting some really great shots. Because, right now, most of my “awake” time is spent at school I decided I’d start by bringing my camera to school everyday. Now, because I don’t use a point and shoot it means I have to carry around a pretty sizable camera all day. Then again, Clarence shot a Hasselblad, so that was more to carry. Anyways, so in bringing my camera to school I’ve been afforded opportunities to get some very neat shots. I’ve attached a few of my favorite shots I’ve taken at school. Enjoy.

Actually, while Clarence shot the Hasselblad for work, it wasn’t his play camera. In the trunk of whatever Oldmosbuick he was driving, he would carry his Nikon F3-HP. Almost never used a long lens, too.
And the cool thing was that you never really saw the photos he shot. Sometimes you would see contact sheets (there are some of these from my first day of school) but most of the times, he would just take pictures, and we would never know where they went.
I think some of them were stuck on the fridge next to the sink, lovingly covered by Sylvia with plastic wrap. Some of them must have been developed and hid in closets and the attic.
I’m curious what your dad thinks about this Aaron.
