California Teaser Two

June 27, 2008

Pacific Rail

Here is another teaser from my trip to California. This shot was taken about two hours north of my friend’s house on highway 14. WE were driving up to a hike in Onion Valley when we passed this old train and I decided it would be a perfect photo-op. I have a bunch more shots from the trip but I liked the depth of field concentrated on the tracks with the large train blurred out in the background. I have to say I’m in love with my new 35mm f2 that I used to take this shot. Anyways, stay tuned to hear more about my adventures in CA!

Dramatic Child's Hand

Today’s post is a bit of a teaser. I know that there are a lot of you that are excited to see my pictures from California. I’ve got about 81 shots ready to go on the website but I’m going to wait until the end of the week and just upload everything into one post. Each day I will uploading one shot into the PhotoADay section to keep teasing you. This shot was taken in Disney Land, I loved folds in the child’s hands.

Today’s shot is just a snapshot of my cousin Alon. This was one of my first “test shots” with the new Nikon 20mm f2.8 AF-D. I love this lens and it’s become a challenge to start shooting such a wide lens!
